Celia Duffy - Portarlington
The death took place on April 7 of Celia Duffy (née Murphy) Ballycullane, Portarlington, Laois
Formerly of St Michael's Park Portarlington County Laois. Peacefully in her sleep. Predeceased by her husband Joe, parents Seamus and Jane, brother Seamus and baby granddaughter Rebecca. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Margaret, sons John and Joseph, sisters Peg and Dorris, brothers Len and P. J., son-in-law Seamus, daughter-in-law Anita, grandchildren Faith, Marc and Jack, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Maher's Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Tuesday evening from 7:30pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 9:20am arriving St Michael's Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael's Cemetery, Portarlington.

Cathy Moynan - Laois
The death took place on April 5 of of Cathy Moynan, (née Fitzgerald), 1 Cashel Lawn, Waterford Road, Kilkenny. (Eircode R95 NDE5) / Laois
Unexpectedly, but peacefully at Wexford General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Pre-deceased by her parents Ann and James and her brothers Eddie and Michael.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sorrowing family, her husband Leslie, sons David and Richard, daughter Claire, sons-in-law Garry and Thomas, grandchildren Aoife and Ódhran, sister Mary, brothers John and Gerard, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at her residence (Eircode R95 NDE5), on Tuesday, 8th April 2025 from 4pm to 8pm.
Funeral arriving to St. Canice’s Cathedral, Kilkenny, (Eircode R95 V63H) on Wednesday, 9th April for Funeral Service at 2pm.
Burial will follow afterwards in Killermogh Graveyard, Ballacolla, Co. Laois. (Eircode R32 NA02).
Catherine Hogan - Ballacolla
The death took place on April 6 of Catherine (Kitty) Hogan (née Keegan) Ballycuddy, Ballacolla, Laois
Kitty passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Ballycuddy and in her 98th year.
Predeceased by her husband Joe and her daughter Margaret (Rigney), her only sister Mary (Lalor) and niece Margaret Dillon (née Lalor).
Deeply regretted by her sons Michael, Joe and Aidan, daughter Marie, daughters-in-law Nuala, Kathleen and Marie, sons-in-law Mick and Jimmy, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.
Reposing in her son Aidan’s home Ballycuddy (eircode R32F638) this Monday evening (April 7th) from 4.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Tuesday morning (April 8th) to St. Canice’s Church Clough (eircode R32K003), for Requiem Mass at 11.0’clock, followed by Burial in Knockaroo Cemetery, Knockaroo, Borris-in-Ossory. Karen Flynn - Portlaoise
The death took place on April 4 of Karen Flynn, Forest Park, Portlaoise, Laois
Cherished daughter of Alan and Sandie. Beloved sister to Vicky and Sue. Loving aunt to Lexi, Zac, Mike, Lenny and Taylor. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, brothers in law Martin and Michael, Alan’s wife Sandra, Olga & Des, cousins, relatives, friends, the nursing staff and all at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. At Peace
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Monday, 7th April from 5pm until 7 pm. Family cremation will follow on Tuesday in Newlands Cross Crematorium at 1. pm. House private on Monday.

John (Johnny) Maher - Portarlington
The death took place on April 3 of John (Johnny) Maher of Queensland, Australia and formerly Ballymorris, Portarlington, Laois
Formerly of Ballymorris, Portarlington, County Laois. Suddenly in Australia. Predeceased by his father John (13th March 2025). Sadly missed by his loving daughter Jessica, son Dylan and their mother Franscoise, grandchildren Kingfisher, Ollie and Charlie, his partner Tracy, mother Mary, sisters Ellen and Linda, brothers-in-law Joe and Andy, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
