John Maher - Portlaoise

The death has occurred on July 2 of John Maher Kilmoney North, Rathangan, Co Kildare formerly of Rathevan, Portlaoise.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of John Maher after a tragic workplace accident on 2nd July 2025.

John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Tracey, sons Seán and Fionn, parents Pat and Mary, brother Liam, sisters Patricia and Eileen, parents in law Theo and Josie, brothers in law Tommy, David, John and Ciarán, sisters in law Dawn, Natasha and Laura, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, extended family, neighbours, friends and work colleagues.

Pre-deceased by his uncles James and Seán Maher.

Reposing at his family home (R51 W288) from 2pm on Sunday concluding with prayers at 6pm.

Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Monday morning to arrive at The Church of Assumption and St. Patrick, Rathangan for Requiem Mass at 12 o'clock.

Burial afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Rathangan.

House private on Sunday after conclusion of prayers and on Monday morning please.

Martha Jane (Meta) Mitchell - Errill

The death has occurred of Martha Jane (Meta) Mitchell, Kilmilan, Errill on June 30, peacefully in the loving care of management and staff at Droimin Nursing Home, Stradbally.

Predeceased by her parents Tom and Muriel, sister Eileen and brothers Willie, Robbie and Thomas who died in infancy.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Muriel (Dresing), nieces and nephews Heidi Mulligan, Christian Dresing, Ingrid Ingram, John Walsh, Gary and Thomas Mitchell, grandnieces and grandnephews Elijah, Emmanuelle, Caleb, River, Robin, Finn, Noah, Ivan and Autumn, sisters-in-law Deidre and Madeline, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at O'Sullivan's Funeral Home Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Monday July 7. from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Tuesday afternoon July 8. to Castlefleming Church Errill arriving for Funeral Service at 2 o'clock. Interment afterwards in Rathsaran Churchyard.

Lucy McGlue-Williams - Stradbally

The death has occurred of Lucy (Elizabeth) McGlue-Williams (née Brew), Baldoyle, Co Dublin and Stradbally suddenly but peacefully on July 1.

Predeceased by her first husband Larry and her second husband Jimmy. She will be sadly missed by her loving children Ian, Robert, Simon and Liz, their partners Sandra, Jennifer, Aisling and Paul, grandchildren Cian, Oisin, Freya, Siann, Lauren, Larry and Heilyn, brothers William and Martin, sisters Noeleen and Susan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Fitzgerald's Funeral Directors, Bayside on Friday, July 4 from 3pm to 5pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11:30 am in St. Peter & Paul's Church, Baldoyle followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery.

Mark Prager - Killeshin

The death occurred of Mark Prager, Bluebell Cottage, Sherwood, Kilbride, Co. Carlow and formerly of Springhill, Killeshin, Carlow, Co. Laois on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Predeceased by his parents and stepdad Pat O'Tierney. Deeply regretted and fondly remembered by his son Daniel, sister Catherine, brother Patrick, nephews and nieces Alannah, Caoimhe, Éibhear and Ronan,  aunts and uncles John, Celeste, Elaine, Michael and Ian, relatives and friends.

May Mark's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Springhill, Killeshin, R93 F223 on Friday from 4pm until 8pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 10am in the Holy Cross Church, Killeshin, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
