Deaths in Laois - December 19, 2017

Phyllis Ridgeway - Portarlington

The death took place on Tuesday, December 19 of Phyllis Ridgeway (née Broomfield) of Portarlington. 

Peacefully in the loving care of Oakdale Nursing Home Portarlington. Beloved wife of the late Stanley. Loving mother of Neville, Olwyn and Frank, mother-in-law of Heather and Tom, dear grandmother of Emma,Laura, Gavin,Ben,John, Andrew, David and Ellisha. Sadly missed by her loving brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her son Neville's residence in Cloneygowan on Wednesday from 3pm to 9pm. Removal on Thursday arriving St Paul's Church Portarlington for service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. House Private On Thursday Morning Please.

John Lynch - Portarlington

The death took place on Monday, December 18 of John Lynch of Kilbride, Portarlington. 

Suddenly. Loving Dad of the late Kevin. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Susan, daughter Linda, brothers William and Philip, sisters Mary, Dolores, Catherine and Eileen, grandchildren Ashley, Adam, Aaron,Thomas and Katie, son-in-law Gary, nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Tuesday from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday at 11.10am arriving St Michael's Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael's Cemetery, Portarlington.

Paddy Kelly - Stradbally

The death took place on Monday, December 18 of Paddy (Lawerence) Kelly of Kilteel, Stradbally.

Peacefully at The Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving family, sons, Joe, Jimmy, Henry (Patrick), sister Anne, brothers Ted, and Tony, grandchildren. Joseph, Gavin, Leanne and his great grandchild Hayleigh. Extended family, relatives, neighbours , and his many friends.

Reposing at The Presentation Chapel, Stradbally from 4pm on Tuesday with recital of The Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am in Church of The Sacred Heart, Stradbally, interment to follow in The Heath Cemetery.

Betty Langford - Emo 

The death took place on Sunday, December 17 of Betty Langford (née Codd) of Ballask, Carne, Wexford and Emo. 

Betty, beloved wife of Mick and loving mother of Stephen and Annette, sister of William and Seamus, Dolly and the late Mary; sadly missed by her family, mother-in-law Mary, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Amanda, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, uncle, aunt, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. 

Reposing in Mulligans Funeral Home, the Faythe, Wexford Tuesday from 3pm until 9pm. Removal on Wednesday at 11.15am to Church of the Assumption our Lady’s Island for funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Our Lady’s Island Cemetery.
