Jack Copley - Portlaoise

The death took place on Sunday, January 21 of Jack Copley of Green road, Portlaoise. 

Unexpectedly, in the tender care of Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Betty and dearly loved father to Ann, Helen, Deirdre and Séan. And cherished granddad to Aoife, Niamh, Ciarán, Stephen, Christian, Ciara, Brian, Eoin, Lauren and Danielle. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers-in-law, sons in law Phillip and Gerry, and daughter in law Lillian. nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Catherine Carroll - Rathdowney 

The death took place on Sunday, January 21 of Catherine (Kathleen) Carroll of Main Street, Rathdowney. 

Peacefully at St. Vincent's Private Hospital, Dublin. Sadly mourned by her brother Jim, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home on Tuesday evening from 6pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass in The Church Of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney on Wednesday at 12 noon followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney.

Esther Cantwell - Stradbally and Ballinakill 

The death took place on Saturday, January 20 of Esther Cantwell (née Stanley) of Kellyville, Ballintubbert, Stradbally and formerly Castlemarket, Ballinakill and Grawn, Attanagh.

Peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ernest, brothers Joe, Tom and infant brothers Jimmy and Robert. Deeply regretted by her children Roy, Iris and Gordon, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sister Annie (Lalor), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and a large extended family and friends.

Reposing at her son Gordon's residence at Kellyville from 12 noon on Sunday. Removal from Kellyville on Monday afternoon at 1.30pm to St Fintan's Church, Durrow for Funeral Service at 2.30pm. Burial immediately afterwards in Attanagh Churchyard.

John Drennan - Borris-in-Ossory 

The death took place on Friday, January 19 of John (Sean) Drennan of Acermore, Earlspark, Loughrea, Galway and formerly Ilford, Essex, England and originally Ballybrophy, Borris-In-Ossory.

John (Sean) dearly loved husband will be sadly missed by his darling wife Maisie, devoted father will be dearly cherished by his daughters Angela (Kilkenny) and Maria (Stormont), he will be fondly remembered by his loving sons-in-law Alan and Allan, grandchildren Saoirse, Lonneke, Imogen and Lucy, brother Liam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family and his many friends.

Reposing in Kilboy’s funeral home onSunday evening from 5pm with removal at 7pm to St Dympna’s Church, Kilnadeema. Requiem Mass Monday at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Carmel Fox - Portlaoise  

The death took place on Friday, January 19 of Carmel Fox of Bridge street, Portlaoise, Laois and Ballina, Mayo and late of North London.

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of Ard na Greine Nursing home, Enniscrone, Co. Sligo. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons Nicholas and George and daughter Joan, sister Peggy Brennan (Castlecomer), grandchildren Tia, Lily, Aaron, Kayleigh, Rachael and Rebecca, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegan's Funeral Home, Portlaoise from 7pm on Monday evening, with rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass will take place at 10am on Tuesday morning followed by interment in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Nevin Breen - Portlaoise 

The death took place on Friday, January 19 of Nevin (Edward) Breen of Tirellan Heights, Galway City and formerly Dr. Murphy’s Place, Portlaoise.

Beloved husband of the late Magdalen (nee Tierney) and much loved father of Thomas, Eamonn and Maria. Sadly missed by his sons and daughter, brothers Liam and Tom, sisters Moira, Barbara , Vera and Concepta, daughters-in-law Gemma and Elaine, son-in-law Philip, adored grandchildren Molly, Luke, Maeve, Seán and Kealan, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Tuesday from 4.30pm with Removal at 7pm to the Augustinian Church. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon cemetery, Galway.
