Deaths in Laois - February 5, 2018

Noel Buggy - Stradbally

The death took place on Sunday, February 4 of Noel Bernard Buggy of Woodview, Stradbally.

Peacefully surrounded by his wife and family. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Marie, daughters Lisa and Tara, his adored grandchildren and his beloved mother Lil, sister Margaret, brothers Martin, Charlie and Dan, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law. aunts, uncles, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his family home on Sunday evening. Recital of the Rosary at 8pm on Monday evening. Removal to The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally on Tuesday morning for 10am Funeral Mass with interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.

Mary Ann Miller - Spink

The death took place on Sunday, February 4 of Mary Ann (Maisie) Miller (née Cahill) of Boleybeg, Spink, Abbeyleix.

At her residence. Deeply regretted by her husband John, sons Tom, Joe, Sean, Seamus and Robert, daughters Mairead and Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, relatives, friends and carers.

Reposing at her residence from 8pm on Sunday evening with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Monday evening at 7.20pm to St Lazarian's Church, Knock, arriving at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick Brophy - Mountmellick

The death took place on Saturday, February 3 of Patrick (Pat) Brophy of Killeen, Mountmellick.

Peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his loving wife Chris, his sons Darren, Glenn, Colm and Patrick, daughters Aisling and Emma. His brother Donie, sisters Liz, Marie, Breda, Rosie, Bernie and Cyndi, brothers - in - law, sisters - in - law, daughters - in - law, grand children, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in his home on Sunday with rosary at 8pm. Reposing on Monday with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to St Paul's Church Emo for 12 noon requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the new cemetery. 

Maura Dagg - Ballycuddy

The death took place on Saturday, February 3 of Maura Dagg (née Finlay) of Clondalkin and formerly Ballycuddy.

Beloved wife of the Late Lt. Col. Michael. Adored mother of Mary, Margaret, Michelle and Helen. Deeply regretted by her family, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Massey Bros.Funeral Home, Clondalkin Village, this Monday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday morning at 11.30am in the Church of The Immaculate Conception, Clondalkin, followed by burial in Esker Cemetery. 

John and Mary Brophy - Mountmellick

The death took place on Saturday, February 3 of John and Mary Brophy of 11 Davin Park, Mountmellick.

Also known as Jack Maher and Molly. Died peacefully surrounded by their loving familes in The Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Deeply regretted by their sons John and Noel, daughters Martina, Patricia and Majella, daughters - in - law Tracey and Ann, son - in - law Seamus, grandchildren, great grandchildren, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Funeral arrangements will be published on Monday afternoon.

Margaret Bambrick - Ballylinan

The death took place on Saturday, February 3 of Margaret Bambrick of
Aughanure, Ballylinan.

In her 98th year. Reposing at her residence in Aughanure, Ballylinan on Saturday. Rosary on Sunday evening at 7pm at her residence. Removal to St. Anne's Church, Ballylinan on Monday for funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John Dwyer - Stradbally

The death took place on Saturday, February 3 of John Dwyer of Brockley Park, Stradbally.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary (née Connor) , daughters Valerie, Karen, Maeve, Rosemary and Brid, sons James and John, sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Saturday with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Sunday to St. Patrick's Church, Clogh, Co. Kilkenny for funeral Mass at 1pm, followed by burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Foran - Mountmellick

The death took place on Saturday, February 3 of Kathleen Foran of 5 Emmett terrace, Mountmellick.

Died peacefully in St Vincent’s Hospital, Mountmellick, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her loving husband John. Deeply regretted by her daughters Mary, Kay, Ann, Ber, Joan, Caroline, Patricia, Christina, Gabriel and Madelien, sons Sonny and Anthony, her brother John and sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in her home, Mountmellick, on Sunday from 7pm with Rosary at 9pm. Reposing in her home on Monday from 5pm - 8pm. House private after 8pm please. Removal on Tuesday morning at 11.15am to St Joseph's Church, Mountmellick, arriving for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery.

Patrick Kelly - Errill

The death took place on Friday, February 3 of Patrick (Paddy) Kelly of Church Quarter, Errill.

Peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Patrick (Paddy), in his 87th year, predeceased by his brothers Sean and Jerry and his sisters Delia (Gray), Sadie (Carroll) and Liz (Farrelly).

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Lil and his sons Pat and John, daughters in law Siobhan and Orla, grandchildren Michael, Emer, Patrick and Kate, his brothers Matt and Joe and his sister Mary (Spencer), sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Saturday evening from 3pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral prayers on Sunday evening at 6pm followed by removal to The Church Of Our Lady, Queen Of The Universe, Errill, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in Errill Cemetery.
