Deaths in Laois - May 28, 2018

Kathleen Bergin - Abbeyleix

The death took place on Sunday, May 27 of Kathleen Bergin (née Kavanagh) of Boley, Abbeyleix. 

Peacefully in the care of the staff of Portlaoise Hospital. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Liam, sons Seamus, Joseph and Liam, daughters Martina, Laura and Edel, brothers Pad-Joe and Michael, sisters Marie and Noreen, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews nieces relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence from 4pm on Tuesday with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Wednesday to St. Brigid's Church, Shanahoe for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Shanahoe Cemetery.

Joseph Morrin - Castletown 

The death took place on Saturday, May 26 of Joseph (Joe) Morrin of Aughafan, Castletown. 

At University Hospital Cork. Predeceased by his brother Larry, sisters Lily and Mai. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kitty, son Diarmuid, daughters Elizabeth and Ann Marie, sisters Kathleen, Ann, Frances and Phyllis, brother Paddy, son-in law-Oliver, Margaret, grand-daughter Ayla, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Monday afternoon, from 3pm with Rosary at 6pm followed by removal at 7pm to St. Edmund's Church, Castletown, arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am with burial immediately afterwards in St. Fintan's Cemetery, Mountrath. 

Patsy Deevy - Portlaoise

The death took place on Saturday, May 5 of Patsy Deevy of Lakeglen, Portlaoise. 

At St. James' Hospital. Patsy, beloved husband of the late Kathleen. Dearly loved father to Pat, Brendan and Hanna. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters Martha, Esther and Rita, grandchildren,Craig, Rebecca and Paddy, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law Paddy, daughters-in-law Sylvia and Maura, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 3pm on Tuesday with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery. 

Ernie Glasgow -  Mountmellick 

The death took place on Friday, May 25 of Ernie Glasgow of 61 Silverwood, Mountmellick and Jobstown, Dublin.

Peacefully in the loving care of the Staff of St. Vincent's Hospital, Mountmellick. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Maeve, sons Ernie, David and Philip, daughter Cathy, brother Alan, sister Olga, son in law, daughters in law and his twelve grandchildren, family and friends.

Reposing in Moloney's Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10am. Removal at 10.45am to St.Paul's Church of Ireland, Mountmellick, arriving for Service at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium.
