Deaths in Laois - June 13, 2018

Elizabeth Mullen - Portarlington

The death took place on Monday, June 11 of Elizabeth Mullen (née Terrett) of Corrig, Portarlington

Unexpectedly at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Loving wife of the late Syl. Deeply regretted by her loving son Richard, daughter Aoife, grandson Darragh, daughter-in-law Linda brothers-in-law Tony, Noel and Paddy, sister-in-law Mary, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday from 3pm with Removal at 7pm arriving St John's Church Killenard at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Patrick Stokes - Mountmellick

The death took place on Wednesday, June 6 of Patrick (Paudge) Stokes of Mountmellick and London. Beloved son of the late Paddy and Winnie. Died peacefully in London surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Reposing in Moloney's Funeral Home on Friday from 4pm until removal at 6.45pm to St. Joseph's Church, Mountmellick for 7[,. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 12 noon, burial after in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Hugo Conroy - Clonaslee 

The death took place on Monday, June 11 of Hugo (Hugh) Conroy of Glenkeen, Spollenstown, Tullamore and late of Chapel St., Clonaslee.

Peacefully at the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Eamon, Billy, and Eugene, sisters Mary and Geraldine and friend Marian. Deeply regretted by his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, aunts, Nancy Foy and Grett Molloy, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

His Remains will repose in Lawless Funeral Home, Mucklagh, Tullamore on Wednesday evening from 4.30pm with removal at 7.45pm to St. Manman's Church, Clonaslee arriving at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am followed by Cremation at Newlands Cross Crematorium.

John Sheeran - Abbeyleix 

The death took place on Sunday, June 10 of John Sheeran of Avondale Cottage, Rathmoyle, Abbeyleix.

Following a long illness of 26 years duration. Borne with great dignity and Christian forebearance. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Teresa (née Ryan). Darling father to Susan (Parkinson), John Peter, Jamie, Sammy and Bobby. Adored Grandad of Stephen, Olivia, Peter, Sean, Lee, Haley, Chloe and Benet. Treasured father-in-law of Oliver, Clodagh, Becky and Annmarie. Also deeply regretted by his long life friend and advocate Sandra (Daly), mother Mary (née Anderson), sisters, brothers, relatives and friends and the Ryan family.

Reposing at his residence from 4.30pm on Tuesday with Rosary at 6.30pm. Removal at 11.30am on Wednesday to The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by cremation at 2.30pm in Newlands Cross Crematorium. 

Maureen Fitzpatrick - Portlaoise

The death took place on Sunday, June 10 of Maureen Fitzpatrick of Coolnamona, Portlaoise.

Peacefully in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Paddy and daughter Maisie. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Christina, sons Johnny and Patrick, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandchildren Mark, Sinead, Fiona, Shaun and Lisa, great grandchildren Eve and Faye.

Reposing at her daughter Christina Rice's residence at Springfield from 7pm on Monday evening with rosary at 9pm. On Tuesday reposing from 3pm with removal at 7pm to arrive at St Fintan's Church, Ballyfin for 7.30pm. Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday followed by interment in Ballyfin Cemetery.

Bridget Courtney - Mountrath

The death took place on Saturday, June 9 of Bridget (Bridie) Courtney (née Phelan) of Elm Mount, Dublin and Mountrath.

Peacefully at Beaumont Hospital,surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Sean. Sadly missed by her loving husband, her children Gerard, Sandra, John Paul, Paddy, Kelvin, Joanne, Brian and Mark, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Stafford's Funeral Home, Maypark, Malahide Road on Tuesday morning from 10am with family in attendance from 4pm to 6.30pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to Our Lady of Consolation Church, Donnycarney arriving for 11am Mass. Funeral immediately after Mass to Dardistown Cemetery.
