Deaths in Laois - September 5, 2018

Joe Carroll - Portlaoise

The death took place on Monday, September 3 of Joe Carroll of Marian Ave., Portlaoise. 

Peacefully at home in the loving care of his family. Joe, beloved husband of Mary and dearly loved dad to Marie and Tracy. Predeceased by his sister Marie. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brother Liam, son-in-law Des, cousins, relatives and extended family.

Reposing at his residence from 6pm on Monday with rosary at 9pm. Reposing on Tuesday with rosary at 9pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. 

Ollie Dowling - Portlaoise

The death took place on Saturday, September 1 of Ollie Dowling of Clonad, Portlaoise. 

Suddenly at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Pre-deceased by his wife Mary. Deeply regretted by his loving daughters Margaret, Tara, Annette, Katherine and Mary, sons Oliver and Marty, daughter-in-law Denise, grandchildren Sophie, Adam and Kiera, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday from 1pm to 9pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 11.30am from his residence to St. Fintan's Church, Raheen for Requiem Mass at 12noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetary. House private on Thursday morning please.

Sean Morris - Mayo and Laois 

The death took place on Tuesday, August 14 of Sean Morris of London and formerly Ballycastle County Mayo. Loving husband of the late Eileen Carroll, formerly the Old Pound, Ballybrittas. Deeply regretted by his loving sons John and Frank, sisters Kathleen, May, Sheila and Nuala, daughters-in-law Gabrielle and Diane, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass in St John's Church Killenard Portarlington on Friday, September 7 at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
