Deaths in Laois - November 16, 2018

Bernadette Scully - Portlaoise

The death took place on Thursday, November 15 of Bernadette Scully (née Maguire) of 3 New Road, Portlaoise. 

Predeceased by her beloved husband Timmy and her sister Mary. Much loved mother of Mary and Bernadette (Moran). Deeply regretted by her loving family, dearest grandsons Senan and Cillian, son-in-law John, brothers John and Bernard, sister-in-law Ellie, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home on Friday from 4pm to 8pm with rosary recital at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to SS Peter & Paul's Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter & Paul's Cemetery. 

Annetta O'Brien - Rathdowney 

The death took place on Wednesday, November 14 of Annetta (Netta) O'Brien (née Phelan) of Baldwinstown, Bridgetown, Wexford and late of Rathdowney. 

Peacefully, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Tom and cherished mother of Noelle, Bernadette, Deirdre, Kieran and Tomas. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons, daughters-in-law Maria and Trina, sons-in-law Tony and Michael, Donal, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sisters-in-law Sheila and Rose, brother-in-law Charlie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home in Baldwinstown on Friday November 16th from 1pm with removal at 6.30pm to arrive at the Church of the Assumption, Rathangan for 7pm Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am, followed by burial in Rathangan Cemetery.

Bridie Quinn - Attanagh 

The death took place on Wednesday, November 14 of Bridie Quinn of Fermoyle, Attanagh. 

Peacefully after a long stay in the care of the nurses and staff of Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally. Deeply regretted by her loving nephews, niece, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Droimnin Nursing Home from 6pm on Friday evening with Rosary at 8pm. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill on Saturday morning for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Williams - Ballybrophy 

The death took place on Wednesday, November 14 of Mary Williams (née Kilmartin) of The Cedars, Ballinaraha, Kilsheelan, Clonmel and late of Ballybrophy. Peacefully at South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel. Mary, predeceased by her husband Martin. Deeply regretted by her cousins, nieces-in-law, nephews-in-law, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O' Donoghue's Funeral Home, Kickham Street, Clonmel on Thursday evening from 5.30pm with removal at 7pm to St. Mary's Church, Kilsheelan for funeral reception at 7.30pm followed by removal to The Church of The Assumption, Killasmeestia, Ballybrophy. Funeral Mass on Friday at 10am in Killasmeestia Church followed by burial in Derrinsallagh Cemetery, Borris in Ossory. 

Adeline Carbery - Ballyadams

The death took place on Tuesday, November 13 of Adeline Carbery of St. Vincent's Nursing Home, Mountmellick and late of London and Kellyville, Ballyadams. Deeply regretted by her sister Sheila, brothers Fr. Adrian and Seamus, sister-in-law Miriam and niece Grace.

Reposing at the Chapel in St. Vincent's Hospital, Athy between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday evening. Removal from Rigney's Funeral Home, Athy at 1.30pm on Friday afternoon to arrive at St. Joseph's Church, Ballyadams for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Ballintubbert Cemetery.
