Deaths in Laois - November 27, 2018

Aidan Kennedy - Ballinakill

The death took place on Monday, November 26 of Aidan Kennedy of Bride Street, Ballinakill. 

Unexpectedly at his residence. Retired Postmaster. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Sadie, daughter Jane, sons Aidan, Brian, Luke, Declan, John and Des, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 7.30pm on Monday evening with Rosary at 9pm. Rosary at 9pm on Tuesday evening also. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am to St. Brigid's Church, Ballinakill for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Brigid's Cemetery.

Peter Devine - Rosenallis 

The death took place on Monday, November 26 of Peter (Peadar) Devine of 49 Tara Crescent Clonminch, Tullamore and formerly of Reary, Rosenallis. 

Suddenly at the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Deeply regretted by his loving daughters Margaret and Anita, their mother Ann, his partner Sharon, grandson Deasun, brothers Noel and Martin, sisters Sarah-Ann and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements to be announced later. 

Oliver Brennan - Killeshin

The death took place on Monday, November 26 of Oliver Brennan of "Herondale", Leaugh, Carlow and Laois.

Passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Annie, much loved father of Edward, Paul, Declan, Olivia and Claire and cherished brother of Tommy, Donald, Angela, Carmel, Frank, Gay and Gerry. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren Lauren, Nathan, Patrice, Josh, Caitlin, Jack, Evan, Emily and Zach, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home from 7pm on Monday and 12 noon on Tuesday with Prayers at 9pm both evenings. Removal on Wednesday 12.30pm to The Holy Cross Church, Killeshin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Kevin Keogh - Portarlington and Ballybrittas 

The death took place on Sunday, November 25 of Kevin Keogh of Crowe Lane, Portarlington and formerly of The Lake Road, Ballybrittas and late E.S.B.

Died at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Deeply regretted by his loving brothers Joe and Mick, sisters Phil Mason (England), and Carmel Fennelly (Portlaoise), brother-in-law Teddy, sister-in-law Anne, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Mahers Chapel of Rest Portarlington on Monday from 6.30pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday at 11.20am arriving St John's Church Killenard for Requiem Mass at 12noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Fred (Winifred) Scully - Graiguecullen 

The death took place on Sunday, November 25 of Fred (Winifred) Scully (née Malone) of Chapel St., Graiguecullen and formerly Doonane Hill.

Peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved wife of Tom. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, children Philomena (O’Rourke) Anne, Mary Clare (Glancy), Madeline and Anthony, her sister Maggie Kealy, grandchildren Susan, Jessica, Sean, Kate, Clare and her great-grandchild Beth, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home from 7pm on Tuesday with Prayers at 9pm that evening. Removal on Wednesday at 5.45pm to St. Clare's Church, Graiguecullen arriving for Mass at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11.30am followed by funeral to Killeshin Cemetery, Carlow.
