Deaths in Laois - December 28, 2018

Mary Fogarty - Durrow

The death took place on Thursday, December 27 of Mary Fogarty (née Maher) of Ballinaslee, Durrow and Rathdrum, Wicklow.

Peacefully in the care of the nurses and staff of Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyragget. Deeply regretted by her son John (Jacobswell, Rathdrum), sisters, Sr Angela, Sr Bertilla, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyragget, on Friday evening from 4pm followed by Rosary at 8pm. Removal to Holy Trinity Church, Durrow, on Saturday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Victor Harris - Portarlington 

The death took place on Wednesday, December 26 of Victor Harris of Portarlington, and late of Limerick.

Peacefully, in the care of the staff at Tallaght Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his wife Pauline, son Ronan and his partner Fiona, niece Sylvia, grandchildren Jack and Annabelle, brothers Ken, Hayman and David, sister Alison, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Main St. Portarlington on Sunday from 3pm until 5pm. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of St. Michael, Portarlington, arriving for 10am Funeral Mass and afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium, Co. Dublin. 

Joseph Duff - Portlaoise

The death took place on Tuesday, December 25 of Joseph Duff of Beladd, Portlaoise. 

Ex Eircom. Deeply regretted by his brother Eddie, sister Margaret, nephew John, niece Edwina, sister-in-law Eleanor, grandnieces, grandnephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s funeral home on Friday from 4.30pm with removal to SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 6pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 10am followed by interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
