Deaths in Laois - March 8, 2019

James Fitzpatrick - Killanure

The death took place on Thursday, March 7 of James (Jim) Fitzpatrick of Hartstown, Dublin 15 and formerly of Castleknock, Dunshaughlin and Killanure. Peacefully, in the  care of the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, Phoenix Park. Beloved husband of the late Helen and much loved father of Gerard, Elizabeth, Donal, Alan and Helen.

Sadly missed by his sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Reposing at his home on Saturday from 6pm to 8pm and on Sunday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal to St. Ciaran’s Church, Hartstown on Monday afternoon arriving for Requiem Mass at 1pm followed by burial in Mulhuddart Cemetery.

Philomena Taig - Portarlington

The death took place on Wednesday, March 6 of Philomena Taig of 14 Barrowview, Portarlington. 

Peacefully at home. Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Martyn, family, relatives and close friends.

Reposing at her residence on Friday from 6pm till 9pm. Funeral service in Mount Jerome Crematorium Harolds Cross Dublin on Saturday at 2.30pm followed by cremation.

William Murphy - Abbeyleix

The death took place on Tuesday, March 5 of William Murphy of Knockbawn, Abbeyleix. 

Peacefully in the wonderful care of The Community Nursing Unit, Abbeyleix, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband to Breda, loving father to Henrietta and Liz. William will be sadly missed by his wife and daughters, son-in-law Sean, extended family and friends.

Reposing at the Hospital Mortuary, Abbeyleix from 6pm on Thursday evening with Rosary at 7pm followed by removal to St. Lazerian's Church, Knock, arriving approximately 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 10am followed by removal to Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin, for Private Cremation.
