Deaths in Laois - April 1, 2019

Mary O'Meara - Wolfhill

The death took place on Monday, April 1 of Mary O'Meara (née Dempsey) of 'St. Judes', Borroway, Thurles and formerly Wolfhill. 

Deeply regretted by her  husband Michael, brother Pat, sister Margaret, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence on Tuesday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Private cremation on Wednesday in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork. 

Michael Walsh - Durrow 

The death took place on Sunday, March 31 of Michael Walsh of Erkindale Drive, Durrow. 

Predeceased by his wife Betty and brother Martin. Deeply regretted by his  family, sons Brian, David and daughter Sandra, brother Andrew, daughter-in law-Noeleen, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters in law & brothers in law and a large circle of friends. 

Reposing in Phelans Funeral home, Durrow from 2pm - 9pm on Tuesday with Rosary at 9pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow, with buriel immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Thomas Reilly - Ballyroan

The death took place on Sunday, March 31 of Thomas Reilly of Oatlands, Ballyroan. 

Peacefully in the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Ina, daughter Heather, brother Anthony, sister Norrie, brother-in-law Fr. Patrick Breen, sisters-in-law Alice and Bride, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 3pm on Monday with rosary at 9pm. Removal to the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, for 11am Requiem Mass on Tuesday. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Jack Dickinson - Mountmellick

The death took place on Thursday, March 14 of Jack Dickinson of Derryguile, Mountmellick. 

Death occured in EarlsField, London. In his 92nd year. Peacefully. Cremation will take place in London. Memorial service will take place in St Joseph's Church, Mountmellick at at a later date, which will be announced.

Rosanna Dunne - Ballybrittas

The death took place on Sunday, March 30 of Rosanna (Rose) Dunne (née Stapleton) of Coolroe, Ballybrittas. 

Peacefully in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her husband Patrick. Much adored mother of John, Mary, Ann, Martina and Patsy. Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughter-in-law Eileen, sons-in-law Bernard and Peter , sister Teresa (Tess ), sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 6.30pm with Rosary at 9pm. Reposing on Monday with family time from 5pm. Removal at 6.50pm arriving Church of the Sacred Heart Rath at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to the New Cemetery Emo.
