Deaths in Laois - November 6, 2020

Stephen Kelly - Portlaoise

The death took place on Thursday, November 5 of Stephen Kelly of 27 Lakeside Gardens, Kilminchy, Portlaoise and formerly of Hillcrest Close, Lucan.

Much loved brother of Cathy. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brother in law Johnny, nieces Courtney and Jodie, aunts Brigid Dawe and Susie Kenny (USA) extended family relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass in St Patrick's Church, Lucan, this Saturday morning at 11am. Interment afterwards in Esker Cemetery, Lucan. 

Please note that Covid regulations are in place and that no more than 25 people may attend the church. 

Mary Brennan - Ballyadams

The death took place on Thursday, November 5 of Mary Brennan (née Davis) of Rathgilbert, Ballyadams. 

Peacefully, at her daughter Collette's residence, surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Liam. Deeply regretted by her loving children Catherine, Helena, Johnnie, Brigid, Collette and Francis, sister Ann, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to government guidelines, a private requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Sunday morning in St. Joseph's Church, Ballyadams (limited to 25 people). Burial afterwards in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

George Breen - Portlaoise

The death took place on Wednesday, November 4 of George Breen of St Brigid's Place, Portlaoise.

Peacefully, at St James' Hospital, Dublin. George, dearly loved father to Mark, Lisa, Georgina, Mary, Darren, Eileen and Clodagh. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brother Paddy and sister Monica, brothers in law, sister in law, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchild Freya, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, also his faithful dogs.

Given the current exceptional circumstances and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew him, a private funeral, with immediate family only, will take place.
