Trees are getting in the way of raising flags at the Laois memorial garden in Portlaoise.
Laois County Council Cathaoirleach, Cllr Barry Walsh has asked the council to do a trimming job on them.
He tabled a motion to the November meeting of Portlaoise Municipal District with his request.
"This came up as an issue when I was at the United Nations veteran's events recently. They're trying to raise the flag but the branches are in the way. In general the trees need a trimming," he said.
