The Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, John King has welcomed the approval of €2,932,954 funding to Laois County Council for the provision of 14 new social homes at St. Kieran’s Park, Errill,

Speaking after the monthly County Council meeting, Cllr King stated, “I am delighted that the green light has been given for additional social housing development in Errill village at St Kieran’s Park.

“I previously discussed this project with local TD and Minister for Justice & Equality, Charlie Flanagan and am pleased that approval in principle has been granted for the provision of 14 new social homes which falls under the Local Authority Housing Construction Programme and Rebuilding Ireland.

“The project is one of the biggest capital investments in Errill in recent years and this is  a long awaited programme for the enhancement of housing in the area.

“This is really good news in addition to the housing development announced in December for Durrow village and a step in the right direction to deal with the housing waiting lists in county Laois.”
