A Laois "nun" will be teaching sex education lessons to Electric Picnic fans this year.

Ciara Julia Ryan from Rathdowney as "Sister Emmanuelle" along with Megan O'Malley from Wexford as Sister Philomena, are manning a hilarious caravan in Trailer Park called Nun of that Convent.

She told the Leinster Express / Laois Live what hilariously irreverent lessons to expect.

Below: Megan and Ciara Julia in their caravan.

"We are bringing back the good old days of Irish education to Stradbally. We will be doing sex education classes, i.e. abstinence. We will be giving out free condoms on Friday, the correct way of teaching sex education.

"There will be virginity tests, with a hula hoop. We will be giving out glitter ashes. We will be doing funeral salad sandwiches cookery classes.

A big wooden sign of a human body will be painted up for anatomy lessons.

There is also some Fr Ted style dancing promised.

"We will hold Alive-O Raves in the caravan, but only very religious people will be allowed in," Ciara Julia said.

She has taken on the role as her first job back in Laois after spending several years travelling around the world.

"I'm back in Rathdowney now. It has changed a lot, there's so many buildings going up," she said.

Electric Picnic 2023 is sold out and takes place in Stradbally from September 1 to 3.
