Laois Gardaí are encouraging people to avoid the worst of the Electric Picnic traffic by using shuttle buses when dropping off.

There is a drop off location for pedestrian access to the site off the N80 road but gardaí are encouraging people to look at the alternative arrangements.

“The pick up and drop off location for the festival is located in PUDO (Pick Up and Drop Off) off the N80. Pedestrian access into site is via the PUDO gate.

This is in the same location as in previous years and can be used by parents, friends, taxis and registered minibuses and coaches,” Gardaí said.

“An alternative to PUDO which we would encourage is offered by Martleys of Portlaoise  Shuttle from Portlaoise, Gardaí said.

“If you are travelling by train or are local to these areas, there are multiple shuttle services operating to Electric Picnic,” they stated.
