Gardaí say traffic is flowing well to the Electric Picnic and there have been no incidents as Electric Picnic gets underway.

Meanwhile, Laois County Council has issued some advice to motorists over the festival weekend.

“Delays may be encountered with high volumes of traffic expected on approaches on N80, M7, R427 and R428.

Shuttle Buses are running from Portlaoise Railway Station to Stradbally for the duration of Electric Picnic.

Local operators have a number of bus routes operating over the weekend, enquire directly with local operators for these bus services.”

They advised people to consult the Garda Interactive Traffic Map for advice on traffic routes on approach to Stradbally.
