A hugely successful Electric Picnic has been followed by massive interested in the next edition in Stradbally in 2026.

Last weekend 80,000 Picnickers traversed the 600 acres of Stradbally Estate, enjoying Ireland’s biggest music and arts festival.

From Kneecap knocking it out of the park to the Timahoe Male Choir stealing the show, huge crowds descended on the Main Stage for Chapell Roan, Hozier, Kingfishr and lots more.

There was lots more to entertain from comedy, spoken word to ballet and Freetown where there is a surprise on every corner.  MORE BELOW PHOTO.

Tickets for Electric Picnic 2026 went on sale at 9am on Wednesday, September 30. Festival Republic confirmed to the Leinster Express / Laois Live that what was available sold out, through the festival’s loyalty scheme and general on-sale within 90 minutes.

The rapid sales of early tickets are in line with the prediction made by the Electric Picnic boss when he spoke to the media on the final day of EP25.

“I would expect most of the tickets to get snapped up and then we will do a bit of a sale towards Christmas time or something like that,” said Melvyn Benn.

He said some headline acts have been booked for next year but wouldn't reveal who was lined up.

“I feel that we are at the right level at this stage, and I would like to settle it at 80,000 before I start thinking about making it bigger.

“I would like to make a few more changes in the campsite. I introduced the bespoke campsites this year and they have been well received and I think they will grow.

“The (license) preapplication is already in with Laois County Council and it is in for 80,000,” he said.

He sees the potential for more entertainment as the first crowds arrive on Thursday and acknowledged that people would like a four-day festival.

“The appetite is definitely there (for fourth day) and I will certainly put more into the Thursday evenings, but not with the opening of the Main Stages, but there will be one or two more stages on Thursday evening,” he said.

"We can’t wait to welcome you next year - we’re already making sure it will be the best festival yet," he said.
