Electric Picnic announces first nine acts including CMAT

Irishacts CMAT and Fontaines D.C. join Gorillaz for Electric Picnic 2026

Electric Picnic has brightened up the first day in December with the announcment of their first nine acts for 2026.

Forget the Christmas  countdown, the Electric Picnic countdown has officially started.

Saturday has Damon Albarn's Gorillaz for the top slot.  And Ireland's very own Fontaines D.C. will take the Sunday night headline slot.

"Santa’s pulled a few more names out of the bag for next year’s musical extravaganza. 

Also coming to Laois are CMATSombr, Zara LarssonSkepta, Wunderhorse, Role Model and the very wonderful Geese.

 

CMAT

It’s a first for Electric Picnic to welcome Gorillaz to Stradbally and EP say it's a particular moment of pride to watch Fontaines D.C.move on up to the prestigious closing spot on Sunday night.

What a year it’s been for CMAT!

"But this is just the start of what  we have in store for you in August 2026. We can’t wait to see you there!," EP say.

Electric Picnic is Ireland’s biggest music and arts festival and will take place next year from 28th to 30th August.

The 600 acres of rolling fields at Stradbally Estate will provide the perfect backdrop for the end of summer extravaganza as Picnic fan favourites return with Trailer Park, Croí, Salty Dog, Providencia, Fish Town and more.

They say more lineup announcements are  coming soon.
