If you missed out on getting Electric Picnic tickets this year, get thee hence to Stradbally in Laois this week, because chances are high of winning a pair of weekend camping tickets.
The Parents Council of St Colman's National School is selling lines for €2 each in shops in the town this Friday and Saturday June 15 and 16.
The prizes are no less than two sets of tickets to the sold out festival, which this year features exciting acts like Kendrick Lamarr, George Ezra, Sigrid and N.E.R.D to name but a few.
You can buy a card of 11 lines for €20, and the draw is limited to 350 cards, so the odds are pretty good, and you will be supporting a great cause. The draw takes place on Wednesday June 20 in the school.
Each year the local community gets heavily discounted tickets from Festival Republic, organisers of Electric Picnic in the grounds of the Cosby estate. Laois clubs and charities also get a donation every year, in return for welcoming some 55,000 punters that descend on Stradbally to enjoy what is Ireland's biggest music festival.
