Laois school is delighted to invited you to its returning summer fundraising fete

After a four-year absence, the Clonenagh National School Summer Fete will returns this summer.

The organisers say the event in June promises to be a fun day out for all of the family when it takes place in the school grounds on the Portlaoise Road in Mountrath, with all funds raised going towards the school.

This year, the Tea Rooms will be located in the new extension building of the school and will be run by the school staff.

"Be sure to drop by for a tea/coffee, a tasty treat, and a chat," says the organisers.

They say there will also be exciting stalls and events to enjoy on the day, including face-painting, pony rides, a children’s play area, penalty shoot-out, bric-a-brac stall, cake stall, plant stall, bottle stall and guess the sweets.

"Excitingly, this year there will also be a sponge-throwing stall where you’ll have the opportunity to throw a wet sponge at some familiar local faces," they say.

Portlaoise train station social homes hit by delays

All donations such as bric-a-brac, bottles etc will be gratefully received by the school.

Donations can be dropped to the school during school hours. Plants and baked goods would also be appreciated on the day for the plant and cake stalls.

The event takes place on Sunday, June 11  from 1-5pm
