Full Moon Midlands Gathering Returns to Derryounce
After a winter break, the Full Moon Midlands Gathering yoga team are back and ready to bring local people together once again just at the Derryounce Lakes on the Laois Offaly border.
Last year, saw the eight successful events at the Portarlington amenity, all free of charge, capped off the year by a community fundraiser for a local couple whose daughter, Robyn, is undergoing a bone marrow transplant.
The Full Moon Gathering team outlined what to expect as the 2025 season of outdoor yoga led in March by Oonagh.
"The entire event lasts about an hour and is a wonderful way to connect with nature and others. This month, we are excited to welcome Oonagh Hoey from Oonagh Hoey Warrior. Oonagh, who lives in Port, has been teaching yoga for over eight years. Oonagh offers yoga classes in Kildare town and will soon be offering sessions in Portarlington as well. MORE BELOW PICTURE.

"Please dress warmly, bring a yoga mat, and feel free to come alone or bring a friend. This event is weather permitting, but we’re hopeful for clear skies and dry conditions.
"We look forward to seeing you there and sharing a peaceful and uplifting evening together," say the organisers.
Event one takes place on Friday, 14, from 7 pm at the Derryounce Lakes Portarlington.
The group have met once a month on the day of the full moon, between March to October and take a break over the winter.
"We've been going for the last three years and have had some amazing yoga and meditation instructors delivering the sessions.
It is all volunteer, we are always looking for people that want to be involved by either delivering a yoga session, meditation or breathwork or anything else people feel would work," they said.
