From a clothes swap, a clothing upcycling workshop to a 'gaymes' night and a pet friendly walk, the festival plans to showcase the 'incredible diversity and inclusivity' that they are proud of in Laois.

On Saturday September 13, Laois Pride Parade and family friendly festival will take place all day with the Laois Pride Parade kicking off at 12pm from Fitzmaurice Place in Portlaoise.

"Everyone is welcome to join in the parade or stand on the streets waving the parade on," Laois Pride Chairperson Helen Lanigan said.

"At 1pm at Laois School of Music we have a free pride fun day with games, market vendors, performances and more. For the night time we are back in Kavanaghs for an evening of Drag Queens and performances from Sing Along Social and more," they said.
