Gathering under spectacularly clear Laois Offaly skies near Port.
The Full Moon Gathering Midlands group return to their Laois Offaly haven on this October to close out a "magical year with something extra special".
Sinead Dempsey is one of the organisers of the event at eco-friendly Derryounce Lakes, Portarlington on Sunday, October 5 at 7pm which will also raise funds for upkeep of the Laois Offaly natural community amenity.
"We’re closing out another magical year with something extra special," she told the Leinster Express / Laois Live.
"Our gatherings have been running for over three years now, and 2025 has been one of our most beautiful journeys yet. Month after month, incredible facilitators have shared their time, wisdom, and heart with our community," she says.
In March the group welcomed the 'gorgeous' Oonagh Yoga Warrior with the 'beautiful' Donna, Ebbandflow Holistic, visitin in April. The 'fabulous' Alice in Yoga Land was the May guest with the 'magical' Yoga With Joanna featuring in June. A generous double evening with Eve Daly Wellness (meditation) and Pilates with Sarah feature in July while in August Eve Daly guided the group through a deeply relaxing Chakra Meditation. September saw the 'ever-positive and gentle' Sarah from The Healing Path grace Derryounce.
"Each one has helped make 2025’s gatherings something truly unforgettable," says Sinead.
With the autumn leaves falling, Sinead says the group is looking forward to a special seasonal finale.
"Now, as the season turns, we’ll come together for our final gathering of the year – not only to celebrate under the October full moon, but also to give something back. This month we’ll be raising funds to support the upkeep of the stunning Derryounce Lakes in Portarlington – the place that has hosted us with such generosity. The event is, as always, free to attend, and there’s no pressure to contribute, but every donation (big or small) will make a difference," she said.
Sinead says there is a lot to look forward to on the night. Details below photo.

"As the evenings grow cooler, please wrap up warm, bring your yoga mat and a cup. We’ll have a hot drink ready as we circle around the fire beneath the full moon," says Sinead.

"Together, let’s give thanks for an incredible year and close it with gratitude, community, and moonlit magic," concluded Sinead.
