St Stephen's Day is set to be a big day in Ballyroan with the holding of the annual Tom Kinsella Memorial Christmas Convoy Road Run.
Supporting the Laois Specialist Palliative Care Team which is a very worthy cause, the Road Run, hosted by Ballyroan Vintage Club will start from Ballyroan GAA Club at 12 noon. Tractors and other vehicle registration begins at 11am.
There will be a draw in Whelan's Bar, Ballyroan at 5 pm following the Road Run. First prize is €500 cash, second prize is a 3 day trip to the Great Dorset Steam Fair, third prize is €200 cash with multiple small prizes for other people who purchased tickets.
This is for a great cause and the tickets are a mere €5 each so we encourage everybody to help the cause.
The Laois Specialist Palliative Care Team provide home care and support services, assisting people of all ages and from all walks of life in the comfort of their own homes and within their own communities. The nurses do outstanding work when families need it and deserve your support.
