St Patrick's Day parades

Rathdowney parade 2017.

Entries are now being taken for clubs and floats to participate in the Rathdowney St Patrick's Day Parade.

The parade will leave St. Fergal's College at 1pm sharp.  Any groups or floats participating please assemble at St Fergal's by 12.30pm at the latest.

The entry fee is €20 per club or float. Advance payment would be appreciated. A sticker will be issued once payment is made which must be displayed with the club or on a float to gain access to the parade.

Refreshments will be provided in the Parochial Hall after the parade followed by a highly entertaining "Spuds and Spakes" session with Michael Creagh and guests. A raffle will be held for an Aberdeen Angus calf on the day. 

Traffic diversions will be in place for all roads approaching the town from 12.30pm and roads will remain closed for the duration of the parade.
