Emo Garden Centre - inspiration for all your gardening needs

Emo Garden Centre - inspiration for all your gardening needs

Emo Garden Centre can surely boast one of the best locations in the country, nestled among the woods and within the walls of Emo Court.

It is located just two kilometres from the motorway, and a short distance from Portlaoise and Portarlington.

A family run garden centre in the heart of Emo village, Emo Garden Centre stocks trees, shrubs, plants, herbs, bedding and all things gardening.

Whether you are after that stunning garden centre piece, an item(s) for a herb garden, planters or hanging baskets, you are sure to be inspired at Emo Garden Centre.

The opening of the centre has been a long held ambition of Kevin and Helen Quinn. The official opening took place on July 3rd and was a great success.

Planning began many months ago and work started in earnest late in 2015 to have the garden centre ready for customers to enjoy this summer.

Both Kevin and Helen have been delighted with the goodwill and enthusiasm shown towards their venture by friends and customers.

The attractive array of plants and impressive setting is proving quite an attraction for visitors.

Emo Court is a beacon for visitors all year round. There is plenty to see and do for all the family, with walks through the woods and around the lake, tours of Emo Court, outdoor yoga classes on the lawn, and Emo Village Farmers Market.

Children enjoy searching for the forest fairies in Emo Garden Centre. The fairy village can be found beside the pond, and fairy doors are dotted around the garden centre.

Emo Garden Centre will also be hosting a number of events and promotions throughout the year.

Horticulturalist Sean Berrill will be on hand to give advice on garden design, planting and maintenance.

Why not join Kevin and Helen for their next event. On Sunday August 7th fresh herbs will be the flavour of the day.

From 2 to 4pm learn how to use a variety of herbs. Enjoy complementary fresh herbal teas and avail of special offers on herbs.

Every customer will be entered into a free draw for a garden tub with a selection of fresh herbs.

The visitors to Emo Garden Centre have been enthusiastic in their praise of the centre.

“Fantastic garden centre, such a varied choice of plants, shrubs and trees. Staff are so helpful, genuine and kind. Went in looking for ideas for plants for a grave and the selections on offer were fab. Great advice given and will definitely be back for more, it's more than a garden centre,” enthused one.

Another said: “I've been two times already and find the staff to be very good, polite and very helpful.

“The plants there are very healthy and are cared for well, they hand pick their plants so you know you're getting good quality plants for your money. Pricing is reasonable too… Very well laid out, tidy and clean. Highly recommended.”

The garden centre is open from 10am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday, and on Sundays and bank holiday Mondays from 11am to 5 pm.
