Plenty to do over Christmas period

While physcial exertion isn’t everyone’s idea of a good time over the Festive Perios, there are still plenty of events over the next week or so for anyone looking to get out and about.

While physcial exertion isn’t everyone’s idea of a good time over the Festive Perios, there are still plenty of events over the next week or so for anyone looking to get out and about.

Starting on Christmas Day, there are a number of walks, fun runs and charity games to help get some oxygen back into those turkey-stuffed arteries.

Christmas Day sees the Goal Mile takes place at two different venues in the county, while St Stephen’s Day offers up a huge array of events to cater for all tastes. If St Stephen’s Day is too early, you could wait until December 29, which is another action-packed day.

The St Joseph’s v Morley Gaels match on December 29 promises to be a unique occasion, while New Years Day sees walks take place in Timahoe and Ballacolla.
