What are your New Year’s Resolutions?

The beginning of the New Year is a time for reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future, a time for doing something different.

Any new idea has to be accompanied by action.

As the mind likes only one change at the time, make a decision about what the primary issue is and start there.

As habits are stored in the subconscious part of the mind, it makes sense that is the area that needs to be accessed to make a change.

No amount of logical thought, which is in the conscious part of the mind, will make any difference.

The best way to access the subconscious part of the mind is with the relaxed state of hypnosis.

Hypnosis in itself is a concentrated relaxation which means we concentrate on the change that we want to make, what it would look like, what it would feel like to have this change in our lives.

Visualisation is a key part of the process.

Using the power of visualisation we can reprogramme the subconscious mind to make positive changes in your life.

Stop Smoking with Hypnosis:

Using hypnosis to stop smoking will increase your chances of success.

To stop smoking, you have to want to stop - being forced by a loved one or for medical reasons will not be enough.

You have to want to stop and feel you deserve to stop.

In the relaxed state of hypnosis, we can reprogramme your subconscious mind to become smokefree and increase the excitement of this new life.

It will not be easy but it is easier with hypnosis.

Hypnosis in itself is a relaxation and we focus on the positive change you want i.e. to be free from cigarettes.

The desire to stop smoking has to be stronger than the need to continue the habit.

So make one small change to signal to your mind that this time is different.

Stop Emotional Eating:

Food is connected with everything - how we celebrate, how we commiserate, how we deal with boredom, how we fight our feelings and shove them down with food only to be guilty about what has been eaten.

Food does not love you or comfort you but for that brief moment you can forgot about everything only for the moment to be replaced with another negative emotion.

If you want to break the cycle of food being connected with every emotion, then let hypnosis help you to develop a new relationship with food so that food can then take its rightful place in your life, as a fuel for your body.

With hypnosis you can learn to change your self talk, you can learn to interrupt old patterns and you can decide that you are worth being in control of your weight.

It is about listening and trusting your body - to eat when you are hungry.

Emotional hungry is sudden.

Physical hunger builds up.

So the next time you find yourself reaching for something to eat, ask yourself - do I really want this or do I want to change this feeling inside me.

It’s not what you eat but what eats you!

Exercise has to be part of any weight loss road.

The body is essentially a machine and needs to move to keep it conditioned.

The wrong food is the wrong fuel and the body will stop working properly if it is not in motion and receiving the right fuel.

This can be reprogrammed with hypnosis.

But you must want to change your body and not just think “I’ll try that”.

It takes commitment.

Exercise Motivation:

With hypnosis we can flick the switch inside to encourage exercise motivation.

To find an exercise that you will enjoy.

There is no point joining a gym if the whole idea of a gym annoys you - this is only setting yourself up for failure.

Exercise is anything that requires the body to move so pick an activity you like.

The greatest energy we require is when we wake up - to get out of bed each morning.

The more you move, the more calories you burn and your metabolism can speed up.

Exercise has to be part of any weight loss path.

Exercise and changing what you eat to produce a different result.

Give yourself the best chance of success in your New Year’s Resolution.

If you do what you’ve always done, you will get what you have always got.

So do something different.
