The Laois Camogie team were beaten by a single point by Meath in Mountrath this afternoon.
The game was evenly contested with a late free from Grace Coleman proving to be the decisive score.

The first five minutes flew by with both sides trying to get grip of the swirling wind blowing straight across the pitch.
Portlaoise's Susie Delaney opened up the scoring after six minutes courtesy of a free. Meath began to find their feet in the game as they scored three unanswered points.
A point from Ellen Burke opening Meath's tally for the game. A point from Olivia O'Halloran and a free converted by Grace Coleman gave Meath an early advantage.
Laois responded in the best way possible as Karla Whelan raised the green flag for the home side. The goal was a result of great play from Gemma Hoare and Susie Delaney, who set up Whelan to score.
Meath would once again hit three scores without reply as Coleman played a free short before receiving the ball back as she spilt the posts. Coleman pointed another free while Abbye Donnelly got her first score of the game shortly after.
As they had done the time before, Laois responded with a goal courtesy of Susie Delaney on this occasion. Meath would go into the break two-points ahead as Donnelly blasted into the net before the half-time whistle.
Laois started the second-half with more intensity as they raised three successive white flags. Susie Delaney pointed a free while Grainne Delaney and Aiva Coss both scored superb points.
Meath weren't going down without a fight as they would once again go ahead in the game. O'Halloran was first to react to a breaking ball in the square as she fired the ball past Aedín Lowry in the Laois goal.
Laois captain Clodagh Tynan showed her class as she levelled the game in the 60th minute with two scores, one from a placed ball.
Meath would still have time to snatch the points from Laois as Coleman tapped over a free to secure the victory.
