Laois will face and old foe of sorts when and make it eight points from eight when Wicklow travel to Laois Hire O'Moore Park on Saturday evening GAA Allianz Football League.
The side led by former Armagh All-Ireland winner Oisin McConville's make the trip to Portlaoise having drawn in Round 1, lost in Round 2 and won last time out against London.
Laois will have been counting their lucky stars to have left Carlow on Sunday with their third successive win in this year's league.
"Carlow were the better team", were the words echoed by many Laois supporters as well as Laois manager Billy Sheehan post-match. Laois had failed to score with 20 minutes played on Sunday and only for the boot of Paul Kingston, Carlow would have claimed the victory. Kingston was in inspired form as he kicked 1-10 out of Laois' 1-17 in total. His goal came late on as Carlow pushed forward.
Some key men will be missing for the game as Brian Byrne and Evan O'Carroll both picked up late red cards, so are ruled out of the contest. Laois are hoping to be boosted by the return of Damon Larkin & Padraig Kirwan.
Facing McConville will be a trip down memory lane for Laois. Armagh reached All-Ireland Football Championship semi-finals in 2003 and 2005 at the expense of Laois led by Micko Dwyer.
Oisin McConville in the second goal in a comfortable win for the saffrons in 2005. The scoreline was much tighter between the two in 2003 when Laois were Leinster Champions. Armagh still won the day when McConville was also playing.
The game throws in at 7pm on Saturday evening. Tickets can be bought HERE.
Tickets can also be bought at the following Supervalu & Centra stores.
