Adam Kirwan sadly passed away after being involved in a road accident in the early hours of Thursday morning, March 2 in Tipperary.
Adam was well-known in GAA circles as the talented hurler played for Trumera GAA as well as playing Minor hurling for Laois in 2018 & 2019. He made the step up the U-20 Laois hurling team in 2020, where he was chosen on the panel for the last three years.
Only last week, he was part of the Mary Immaculate College St Pat's team that defeated TU Dublin Blanchardstown in the Ryan Cup. He was joined on the team by Laois Senior hurler Aaron Dunphy, who captained the side while Oisin Phelan from Castletown also featured.
In his young career, the Trumera GAA man won plenty of accolades with his club. In 2021, he was instrumental in Trumera being crowned Intermediate County champions while as a minor he won a county championship in 2018 playing with Clough-Ballacolla/Mountrath.
He was also a past pupil of Mountrath Community School, before he went on to study at MIC, St. Patrick's Campus, Thurles.
May Adam rest in peace. No funeral arrangements have been released as of yet.
