The Laois Camogie team go into this weekend's Very Division 2A Camogie League contest against Westmeath knowing that a win is well overdue. Laois are without a win in this year's league as defeats to Meath and Cavan have left them rooted to the bottom of the table.
Laois will feel aggrieved not have at least a point to their name as they've narrowly lost out in their two games, losing by a point to Meath before Cavan beat them by two points last time out. Their third round game was called versus Derry last weekend so Laois only have two games played compared to Westmeath's three games. Laois' game against Derry has been rescheduled for this coming Wednesday with the fixture taking place in TUD Grangegorman from 8pm.
As for Laois' opponents, Westmeath only have one point to show for their efforts from the first three rounds. They earned a point against Kerry in their first game while they have lost out to Derry and Meath.
This game could serve as a relegation decider as the bottom team in Division 2A will drop down into Division 2B. The top two teams will face off in the final with the winner taking the step up to Division 2B.
The game throws in at 2pm on Saturday in TEG Cusack Park and tickets can be bought here.
