The Laois Senior footballers face an important game this weekend as they know a win against Leitrim could secure their place in the Division 4 final.
Laois have won four out of five games in their league campaign to date with their only defeat coming against Wicklow in Round 4. Billy Sheehan's charges won last time out against Waterford and he'll be hoping that Eoin Lowry can replicate his form from that game with the Killeshin man kicking 2-6 for the O'Moore County.
Leitrim themselves are pushing for promotion but a loss this weekend would halt their hopes of finishing in the top two of the division. Andy Moran's side have plenty of potential match winners, none more so than Keith Beirne who stands at the top of the scoring charts across the four divisions. Beirne has scored 4-40 in this year's league, Laois will have to keep tabs on him to stand any chance in leaving Sean MacDiarmada Park with the two points.
Laois v Leitrim is the only Division 4 game on Sunday with the other three fixtures on Saturday. A win for Laois will push them to the brink of the final due to take place on the weekend April 1/2.
The game throws-in at 2pm on Sunday in Carrick-on-Shannon and tickets can be bought here.
