The Laois hurlers will end the round robin section of this year's Division 1B against Dublin this weekend. However, it won't be Laois' last game of the league as they will play Westmeath in the relegation decider next weekend.
Willie Maher's side come into the game off the back of a disappointing result against Antrim, one which secured Antrim's survival while also pushing Laois into the relegation decider. Laois had led by six points approaching half-time, however 1-1 from Antrim before the break only left two between the sides and this seemed to affect Laois as they struggled for scores in the second period.
This is a game to nothing in a way as Dublin are in mid-table and can neither be relegated or reach the league semi-finals. They've had mixed fortunes in this year's league with a win, a draw and two defeats out of their four games to date. Kilkenny getting the better of them by 11 points in last week's clash.
Laois will be hoping not to suffer any further injuries in the lead up to the Westmeath game as the Antrim game saw both Ryan Mullaney and Martin Phelan come off injured. They will also be without Gearoid Lynch for the clash in Parnell Park as he received a red card late on last weekend.
The game throws in at 1.45pm in Parnell Park on Sunday March 19. Tickets can be bought here.
