The Laois Senior Footballers will cross the Irish Sea as this weekend's game against London knowing nothing less than a win will do as well as needing results to go their way elsewhere.
Laois haven't had the worst of campaigns with their only two losses coming against fellow promotion chasing sides, Wicklow and Leitrim. However, those losses could come back them haunt them should either side finish level on points with Laois as the head-to-head result determines league position.
For Laois to be promoted, a win is a must along with different sets of permutations. Many of those scenarios involve Sligo being beaten by Leitrim as Wicklow are expected to defeat Waterford which would leave four sides on 10 points at the top of table. Score difference will play a part once more than two teams finish level, Laois have a healthy enough score difference if it comes down to it.
Billy Sheehan has announced his starting 15 for the London clash with the side seeing no changes from the defeat to Leitrim last week. Laois fans will be delighted to see the inclusion of Eoin Lowry after the Killeshin man left the pitch on a stretcher last Sunday.
