Laois U-20 hurling team announced ahead of Kildare clash in Leinster Championship

Laois U-20 manager Ollie Hally has named his Laois team for Friday evening's game against Kildare in Hawkfield. The game is both side's first match in this year's O’Neills.com Leinster GAA U-20 Hurling Championship.

Hally's side sees five players from last year's minor side with Portlaoise shot-stopper Brochan O'Reilly starting in goals while sharpshooter Jer Quinlan, midfielder Tom Cuddy, Bobby Murphy and Ciaran Flynn, both from The Harps, named to start.

The captain and vice-captain have also been named with Abbeyleix St Lazarian's Lawson Obular named as captain with Padraig Brennan from Clough-Ballacolla nominated for vice-captain.

Laois and Kildare are joined in their Tier 2 Group 2 by Carlow and Kerry with this game being Laois' only away game before two matches in Laois Hire O'Moore Park to follow.
