Mark Barry steps up to point a free against Wexford Photo Denis Byrne
Laois' Mark Barry has been included in this week's GAA.ie Football Team of the Week after his wonderful display against Wexford in Laois' opening round victory over the Yellowbellies on Sunday.
The O'Dempsey's man kicked 2-4 for Billy Sheehan's side with two frees and a mark included in his tally. He was also unlucky not to complete his hat-rick of goals as a late effort from Barry rattled off the Wexford crossbar.
He'll be hoping he can do more of the same when Dessie Farrell's Dublin side come to Portlaoise on Sunday April 23 for their Leinster quarter-final clash.
He is also in the running for the GAA.ie Football Player of the Week alongside Roscommon's Enda Smith and New York's Gavin O'Brien. Voting takes place over on the GAA's Instagram Stories, voting closes at 10am on Wednesday.
