Following Laois' rout over Kerry at the weekend in the final round of the Joe McDonagh Cup, Laois have three players represented on this week's GAA.ie Hurling Team of the Week.
Clough-Ballacolla's Stephen 'Picky' Maher scored an impressive 1-12 with 1-5 from play while goalkeeper Enda Rowland added 1-2 of his own with a penalty and two frees. Rathdowney-Errill's Jack Kelly also features having had an impressive game at half-back with Kerry's Paudie O'Connor only claiming one point off the Laois defender. Kelly also scored a wonderful point at the end as Laois ran out 4-23 to 0-21 winners in the end.
Laois' Picky Maher is also in contention for Hurling Player of the Week where he's up against Marty Kavanagh from Carlow with Clare's Tony Kelly the other nomination.

The win for Laois wasn't enough as their season ended on Saturday evening as they failed to finish in the top 2 of the Joe McDonagh standings.
