Laois GAA club submits planning application for major changes to pitch

The club in Portlaoise Parish plans changes

A Portlaoise parish has submitted a planning application to Laois County Council for major changes to their pitch. 

Park/ Ratheniska GAA Club in has sought permission to erect eight 20 metre high floodlights on the main pitch. 

If permission is granted, the development will also include the relocation of existing floodlights to the southern pitch area, as well as a new astro-turf area, and a wellbeing seating area to the rear of the clubhouse. 

A decision on the application is expected by the end of August 2023.
