Laois GAA club announces major development plans for club grounds

The Rock GAA Club are continuing the development of their club grounds as they look set to commence completion works on the upgrade of their main pitch.

The new upgrades will see a new spectator fence, ball stops at both ends of the ground as well as two new concrete dugouts. These upgrades are supported under the Department of Sport Capital Funds grant programme. In addition, the club is also installing a sensor lit walkway around the grounds.

Commenting on the developments, club chairman James Murphy said, "This development would not be possible without the generous support of our new sponsors Curadh Performance and Security Partners, as well as the local community and many local businesses who support our various fundraising activities each year, such as our Family Fun Day, Auction, Club Lotto, County Board draw and Club12 initiative. These latest developments at our club grounds, will be used by club members and local community for many years into the future.”

The Rock GAA also wish to acknowledge the support of Mountmellick Credit Union as the main partner to their annual Family Fun Day each year. For more information about club activities, just search The Rock GAA on social media.
