Trumera GAA are set to remember one of their own as the club is set to hold an U-13 hurling tournament in memory of Adam Kirwan, who sadly passed away in March of this year.
Adam was well-known in GAA circles as the talented hurler played for Trumera GAA as well as playing Minor hurling for Laois in 2018 & 2019. He made the step up the U-20 Laois hurling team in 2020, where he was chosen on the panel for the last three years.
In his young career, the Trumera GAA man won plenty of accolades with his club. In 2021, he was instrumental in Trumera being crowned Intermediate County champions while as a minor he won a county championship in 2018 playing with Clough-Ballacolla/Mountrath.
He was also a past pupil of Mountrath Community School, before he went on to study at MIC, St. Patrick's Campus, Thurles.
The tournament will take place on Sunday September 17 at 10am in Trumera GAA's club grounds.
