The new Laois Football manager Justin McNulty will have to contend with the loss of three players from Portarlington as they’ve chosen to go travelling for the season ahead.
Paddy O’Sullivan, Robbie Piggot and Colm Murphy will embark on a new journey next week with the three players having been mainstays in the Laois Senior Football team over the last number of years.
The three players were also a major part of the Portarlington side which won three consecutive Laois Senior Football Championships in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Their club posted to Facebook to wish the three lads well on their travels.
The post reads, “Portarlington GAA would like to wish these 3 men the best of luck as they head for Australia next week.
“Colm, Paddy and Robbie were hugely influential members of the 3 in a row winning senior team which gave us all so many great memories.
“All the best lads and hopefully we will see ye back in the Port jersey some day in the future. PORT ABU!”
