The club came together to remember a wonderful sporting year in 2023

The Midlands Park Hotel was the venue on Sunday evening as all those associated with the Portlaoise GAA club got together to celebrate a successful year in 2023. The Premier Intermediate hurling side were crowned county champions while the Ladies side won a Senior league and championship double under now former manager Stephen Duff.

The club also acknowledged the team which won Senior and Minor championships in both hurling and football back in 1984. 2024 also marks 20 years since the club won the Laois Senior Football and Senior Hurling championships with the football side going on to claim Leinster glory. It also marks 60 years since Portlaoise won their first title in 57 years back in 1964. Photographer Denis Byrne attended on the night for the Leinster Express/ Laois Live.
