Laois Senior Football team named for Leinster quarter-final against Offaly

Justin McNulty has revealed his starting 15 for Saturday evening's Leinster quarter-final clash against Offaly in Laois Hire O'Moore Park.

His side shows no changes from the team which captured Division 4 glory against Leitrim two weeks ago in Croke Park. James Kelly and Kieran Lillis will start from the off on Saturday evening having been late changes to the starting team against Leitrim in Croke Park.

The Laois substitutes remain unchanged as Jack Lacey and Conor Heffernan take the 22 and 23 jerseys respectively with Jack having worn 4 while Conor wore 8 for the league final.

Laois will come into the game full of confidence having secured promotion to Division 3 as well as picking up the Division 4 crown in GAA HQ. The O'Moore County have a superb record over Offaly in the championship with Laois being unbeaten in their last six games dating back to 2003. Offaly's last championship win came back in 2002.

The sides have clashed in recent times as they went head-to-head in the Tailteann Cup last year where a late scoring blitz from Offaly saw both sides come away with a point after Laois had led by six points as the game approached the end.

See the Laois team below.

LAOIS: Killian Roche (Killeshin); Ben Dempsey (Portlaoise), Seamus Lacey (Ballylinan), James Kelly (St Joseph’s); Eoin Buggie (Stradbally), Mark Timmons (Graiguecullen), Brian Byrne (Graiguecullen) Kieran Lillis (Portlaoise), Damon Larkin (Portlaoise); Kevin Swayne (Portlaoise), Eoin Lowry (Killeshin), Shaun Fitzpatrick (Ballyroan); Mark Barry (O’Dempsey’s), Evan O’Carroll (Crettyard), Paul Kingston (Arles-Killeen).

Laois and Offaly throws-in at 7pm on Saturday, April 13 in Laois Hire O'Moore Park. Tickets for the game can be bought here while the Leinster Express/ Laois Live will be providing a free live blog at the game.
