Cahir Healy, a legendary figure in Laois and Portlaoise GAA, recently retired after an illustrious career spanning nearly two decades. He retired having played for London since 2022. Known for his versatility in football and hurling, Healy played a pivotal role in Portlaoise GAA's dominance and was crucial in Laois' 2007 U-21 Leinster Football Championship victory over Offaly. Despite facing injuries, his determination and resilience ensured successful comebacks. Beyond his on-field success, Healy's leadership and sportsmanship have inspired many young players. His enduring legacy as one of Laois's all-time greats will be remembered and celebrated for years to come.
