Laois and St Brigid's Camogie player Clodagh Tynan has been chosen as the 2024 PwC GPA Junior Camogie Player of the Year.
Tynan played a key role for Pat Collier and Robert Jones' Laois team as they reached the final of the three competitions that they competed in; league final, Leinster final and All-Ireland final. Unfortunately, Laois lost all three finals by a single point.
She had a superb year for Laois in her centre-back position. She came out with the sliotar in her hand on multiple occasions as well as popping up with long-range scores when her team needed them the most. None more so than when she scored 1-1 in her side's defeat of Cavan to reach the All-Ireland final.
This weekend is only beginning for Tynan however as she'll be hoping to take her club St Brigid's to their first ever Leinster Intermediate Camogie title when they take on Naas in Glenisk O'Connor Park Tullamore on Sunday, November 17 at 12pm.
Tynan was presented with her award at Croke Park on Friday evening.
