A third inter-county game that Laois was supposed to play this weekend has been called off but this time it was mere minutes before throw-in.
Referee Anthony Campbell from Derry adjudged that the pitch was unplayable in Annanough with the game originally down to be played in the LOETB Centre of Excellence but that was also unplayable.
It comes after Laois' Division 3 contest against Leitrim was called off due to there being no electricity in Ballinamore on Saturday and Sunday. The Laois hurlers were also supposed to have gotten their Division 1A campaign underway but the pitch in Mullingar was frozen on Saturday.
